TETHER CEO SAYS NO TO OWN CHAIN AND STICKS TO MULTI-CHAIN GAME
In a decisive statement on social media platform X, Tether’s CEO Paolo Ardoino has clarified that the company will not be launching its own blockchain. Instead, Tether is committed to a multi-chain approach, actively integrating with established networks such as Ethereum, Solana, and Algorand. This strategy allows Tether to keep its options open while enhancing its interoperability across various platforms.
Ardoino emphasizes Tether's vision of going “Unstoppable TogETHER” by forging partnerships that leverage the strengths of multiple blockchains, positioning the company favorably in an increasingly competitive landscape. This approach contrasts with the tendencies of some exchanges, such as Coinbase, which are perceived to be leaning towards centralization.
While Ardoino has not entirely ruled out the possibility of developing a proprietary chain in the future, he reiterates that Tether’s focus remains on promoting multi-chain compatibility and maintaining a neutral stance in the blockchain ecosystem for the time being. This commitment to multi-chain dynamics positions Tether as a versatile player in the evolving world of digital assets.
